Privacy Policy

This page explains what information Onavani collects through this website and our client onboarding process, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Effective September 21, 2026

Onavani Inc. ("Onavani," "we," "us," or "our") provides bookkeeping, financial management, business analytics, and fractional CFO services. This Privacy Policy applies to onavani.com and to the information we collect when you fill out a form on this site, take our free bookkeeping checklist, or become a client. It does not apply to third-party sites we link to, which have their own privacy practices.

Information we collect

We collect information directly from you, and a small amount automatically when you visit the site.

When you use the "Get Your Free Profit Review" form
Name, email address, and — if you choose to add them — phone number, business name, the service you're interested in, business size, and how current your books are, plus any message you write. We also record the page you submitted the form from and your IP address (used for spam and abuse prevention).
When you take the free bookkeeping checklist
Name, email address, your yes/no answers, whether you opted in to receive two short follow-up emails, and your IP address (used to prevent abuse of the checklist form).
When you become a client and complete onboarding
Business details (legal name, DBA, entity type, EIN, start date, fiscal year end, industry, business address, states you operate in), contact details, information about your current bookkeeping setup (software in use, how current your books are, transaction volume, number of bank accounts and credit cards, payroll and sales-tax status), and any documents you upload (for example, bank statements, a prior tax return, or our intake workbook). We do not collect credit card or bank account numbers through this form. Your typed signature and the date you accept our service agreement are also recorded.
When we reach out to prospective clients directly
As part of our own client outreach, we research and store publicly available business contact information (such as a business's name, address, and a publicly listed email address or phone number) for businesses we think may want our services. Every outreach email includes our mailing address and a one-click way to opt out, described in our Email & Marketing Policy.
Automatically, when you browse the site
Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) and, on the client onboarding form only, a session cookie used to protect the form against cross-site request forgery. See our Cookie Notice for details.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your inquiry and schedule a free Profit Review.
  • To deliver the bookkeeping checklist and, if you opted in, the related follow-up emails.
  • To set up, deliver, and bill for bookkeeping, financial management, analytics, or fractional CFO services once you become a client.
  • To communicate with you about your account, invoices, and deliverables.
  • To identify and reach out to businesses that may benefit from our services.
  • To keep the site and our forms secure and working correctly, and to prevent spam and abuse.
  • To meet our own legal, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you, and we do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run Onavani, and only as needed to provide our services:

  • Email delivery — to send form confirmations, the checklist, and follow-up emails from our office@onavani.com mailbox.
  • QuickBooks Online — to invoice clients and collect payment for our services. We do not receive or store your card or bank account numbers; QuickBooks (Intuit) processes that information directly under its own privacy policy.
  • Calendly — if you book a Profit Review call through a Calendly link, Calendly processes the scheduling details you provide directly, under its own privacy policy.
  • Our website host — which stores the site, our database, and any documents you upload during onboarding.

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Onavani, our clients, or others.

Data retention

We keep lead and checklist information for as long as it is useful for following up with you, and client records for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet our accounting, tax, and legal recordkeeping obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it.

How we protect your information

We limit access to client information to the people who need it to do their work. Sensitive identifiers such as an EIN are encrypted in our database. We never ask you to send card numbers, bank login credentials, or QuickBooks passwords by email or through our web forms. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so while we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

  • Marketing and follow-up emails — every marketing or follow-up email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email office@onavani.com at any time. See our Email & Marketing Policy.
  • Access or correction — email us and we will update or correct information we hold about you.
  • Deletion — email us to request deletion of information we hold about you, subject to what we're required to keep for legal, tax, or accounting reasons.
If you are a resident of a state with its own privacy law (such as California, Colorado, or Texas), you may have additional rights under that law. Contact us at office@onavani.com to make a request.

Children's privacy

Onavani's services are directed at business owners, not children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 years old. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. If we make a material change, we will update that date and, where appropriate, let clients know directly.
